In your dealings with people, can you detect subtle feelings of either superiority or inferiority towards them ? You are looking at the ego, which lives through comparison.

The ego's identity depends on comparison and feeds on more.

You don't create your body, nor are you able to control the body's functions. An intelligence greater that human mind is at work. It is the same intelligence that sustains all of nature. You cannot get any closer to that intelligence than by being aware of your own inner energy field - by feeling the aliveness, the animating presence within the body.

People worship idols and statues without understanding and bow down before them without knowing why. Their hearts do not participate - it is just a formality that has remained. Such people will only be the cause of the destruction of the idol, because although they worship every day, there is no transformation in their lives, and hence it seems futile to worship an idol or a statue.

An idol or statue is a method meant for total, inner transformation.

Without man having some dep awareness of the Divine, a temple could not be built. Even if that awareness is later lost, the temple still remains; and it is quite certain that it could not have been built without a deep experience of the Divine.

Though godliness is everywhere and human beings are also present everywhere, only during specific circumstances within us do we become attuned to that godliness. So temples served as centers of receptivity, to enable us to feel the divine in existence, to feel godliness, and to become spiritually elevated. The whole arrangement in temples was motivated with this in view.

Everything is predetermined in our lifeline. Our body, our mind and life span are already fixed in a groove.

Our one choice is whether to identify with our destiny or not. If we choose to surrender to the " will of God " all will proceed without resistance.

Divine Principle, has allotted to us that providence which will be of the greatest benefit for our release from the wheel of Karma.

Most of us labour in life like the bull in the treadmill, motivated by our greed for a few grass heaps of wealth and comforts. Thereby we only turn the wheel of nature and serve its purpose.

What counts in SADHANA is perseverance and steadfastness. After a time Meditation recalls itself spontaneously. Whether or not results of Meditation are obtained is of no importance. The essential is to arrive at stability. It is the most precious thing that one can gain. In any case one must trust with confidence in the Divinity and await HIS Grace without impatience.
