MEDITATION becomes a true education, a secret preparation of ourselves to face the world of unsteady circumstances and evanescent glories. True Meditation can bring out of any ordinary man an incomparable genius. The stories of the great risihies of the world tell us that they had nothing much to claim for their general education; many of them had none of the circumstances to achieve anything specatcular , but they grew to such stature merely through Meditation, ultimately to become immortal men of wisdom, power, and glory !!!

What we actually are and what we believe ourselves to be is the first hurdle to be jumped over by every spiritual aspirant. Intreospection or self analysis is the only means to relieve this initial blockade. Regular practice of detaching one's ego from oneself and watching it with one's own pure, impartial judgement is introspection. Self evaluation or self judgement is the only method of actually knowing what we really are.

For some people life is a burden; to others it is an opportunity. Some feel elated or depressed at the bits of life lived separately in meaningless patches; others sense a unity in the apparent diversities. Verily for some, life is an edifying song; for others it is a disgusting mess of profitless noise.

Where from do spring these varied behaviour ?

Then one is a total human being representing all humanity, one's consiousness has undergone a change through perception, which is the awakening of intelligence.

A mind that is caught in illusions has no order. Order can only come about holistically. We need order; even in a very small room one puts things in their right place otherewise it becomes disorderly, ugly, and lacking repose.

Order, is psychologically, something entirely different; it can come about when there is clarity. Clarity brings order, not the other way round; try to seek order then that becomes mechnistic, a conformity to a pattern in which there can be no clarity. Order implies harmony in daily life.

Ours is a world of feelings and ideas, of attraction and repulsions, of scales of values, of motives and incentives; a mental world altogether. Biologically we need very little; our problems are of a different order. Problems created by desires and fear and wrong ideas can be solved only on the level of the mind. You must conquire your own mind and for this you must go beyond it.

Living where there is no effert, where there is no action of will, where there is tremendous space, is part of MEDITATION.

Look all things happen in this world. They just happen. You cannot change the course of events, but you change your attitude and what really matters is the attitude and not the bare events. The world is the abode of desires and fears. You cannot find peace in it. For peace you must go beyond the world.

The root cause of the world is self-love. Because of it we seek pleasure and avoid pain. Replace self love by love of the Self and the picture changes.

No university can teach you to be yourself. The only way to earn is by practice. Right away begin to be yourself. Discard all you are not and go ever deeper.

Death comes and with that one cannot argue; one cannot say: "Wait a few minutes more." When it comes, can the mind meet the end of everything while one is living, while one is full of life ? When one' s life is not wasted in conflicts and worries one is full of energy. Death means the ending of all that one knows, of all one's attachements- there is a complete ending. Can the mind, while living, meet such a state? Then one will understand the full meaning of what death is ?

The discipline of illumination through work is called KARMA YOGA in sanskrit. It is the yoga of dedicated action that helps us to know more about the world and to act properly. KARMA YOGA is the most important discipline from the common person's point of view because we are all actively engaged in our lives.
Sri Krishna says : " No one can keep quiet without working even for a moment. Your existence is impossible if you do not work. Therefore, O Arjuna, learn the secret of work. By knowing the secret of work, you transcend the limitation of work".

Silence demands space, space in the whole structure of consiousness. There is no space in the structure of one's consiousness as it is, because it is crowded with fears - crowded, chattering, chattering. When there is silence, there is immense, timeless space; then only is there a possibility of coming upon that which is the eternal, sacred.

Psychologically, inwardly, every human being, is the world. The world is represented in oneself and oneself is the world. That is a psychological, absolute fact; though one may have a white skin and another a brown skin or black skin, be affluent or very poor, yet inwardly, deep down, we are all the same; we suffer loneliness, sorrow, conflict, misery, confusion; we depend on someone to tell us what to do, how to think, what to think; we are slaves to propoganda from various political parties and religions, and so on. That is what is happening all over the world inwardly; deep down slaves to the propoganda of the experts, we are conditioned human beings where ever we live in this world.

Compassion comes when the mind is free and it brings about a fundamental psychological revolution. That psychological revolution is what we are concerned with from the beginning to the end.

Out of meditation comes immense silence; not cultivated silence, not silence between two thoughts, between two noises, but a silence that is unimaginable. In this silence there is emptiness, an emptiness that is the summation of all energy.

Logic is a remarkably useful instrument. We can perform many useful and necessary operations of a commercial, domestic, practical or professional nature with its aid. Nevertheless both history and experience tell us that logic is often used to substantiate a lie. As a matter of fact the superficial fine logic a useful means of proving one's self right, however wrong. Thus they impose upon people who accept anything, however fallacious, provided it is presented to them disguised with the externals of logical proof. Logic is an admirable servant to a wise employer but verily it is a bad master.

The means used are then nothing more than thought and feeling. We scatter our thoughts in a wholly reckless manner, and we let our emotions change with every few minutes; the power that might be retained by their concentration is usually lost. Our minds are therefore in continuous state of vibration, and but rarely at rest. These are the real causes why we are so tied to the material world that we are blinded by it, and miss the spiritual reality that awaits our attention within the regions of the soul.

Listen, remember, ponder, visualize, experience. Also apply it in your daily life. Have pateince with me and above all have patience with yourself, for you are your only obstacel. The way leads through yourself beyond yourself. As long as you believe only the particular to be real, consious and happy and reject the non dual reality as something imagined, an abstract concept, you will find me doling out concepts and abstractions. SOMEBODY got angry about that because it was EVERYBODY's job. EVERYBODY thought ANYBODY could do it but NOBODY realized that EVERYBODY wouldn't do it.

It ended up that EVERYBODY blamed SOMEBODY when NOBODY did what ANYBODY could have done.

It is not that they say, "Beautiful". This is useless. If you are beautiful, that is the point. What they say is irrelevant. What you are - the real, authentic you - that is the individual.

If u r simple u will be able to observe urself. A complex person cannot observe himself because he is so divided. He has so many things around him: so many desires, so many thoughts and so many problems arising out of those desires & thoughts. He s continuously in a crowd. It is difficult to attain to self study. Only an austere man eats, sleeps, loves and that is all. He has ample time and ample energy left to observe, just to be, just to sit & look. He sits, looks at himself, closes his eyes watches his own being.
There is not a crowd, nothing much to done. Things are so simple that he can do them easily. And simple things have a quality that even while doing them you can study yourself. Complex things are too much for the mind. It gets too involved & fragmentary and self study becomes impossible.
