A mere intellectual study, or reflection, by itself can never lead the student on to the path of real meditation. Meditation is an all out application of a total integrated personality in the search of Truth. The external marks of religiosity are merely physical; deep devotion and reverence are emotional and a clear understanding of the Nature of the Goal and the Path pursued are intellectual aspects of the spiritual life. All the three are unavoidable for success in Meditaion, in as much as we have to bring therein our entire personality.

With his bosom emptied of the monstrous ego-sense, he lives fully in his inner happiness, under all conditions and circumstances. Even in hell he cannot be miserable; the Bliss in him is Infinite.

There are several steps to worship, but the first and fundamental one is to be understood that every individual is self-centered. Our whole way of living is as though "I am " is the centre of the whole world. : The moon and the stars rise for me, the birds are flying for my joy and the sun too is giving light for me: the whole world is revolving around me, I am the centre of the whole world. Such a person cannot know worship, feeling that he is at the centre and the rest of the world is his circumference.

In worship you see the opposite : the fundamental law of worship is , " I am on the circumference, the centre is somewhere else."

When we could see godliness personified within the shape of a temple, something of godliness lingered on in our minds. This was especially so for people who could not visualize the unmanifest divine. For those who could, there was no need for a temple. But in a way these people caused great harm to the temple because they said that temples had no use and that they should be dispensed with.

If temples are destroyed, how would those who cannot visualize the unmanifest form of godliness, ever be able to think of godliness ?

The temple remains a source of inspiration all twenty four hours of your day.

In your dealings with people, can you detect subtle feelings of either superiority or inferiority towards them ? You are looking at the ego, which lives through comparison.

The ego's identity depends on comparison and feeds on more.

You don't create your body, nor are you able to control the body's functions. An intelligence greater that human mind is at work. It is the same intelligence that sustains all of nature. You cannot get any closer to that intelligence than by being aware of your own inner energy field - by feeling the aliveness, the animating presence within the body.

People worship idols and statues without understanding and bow down before them without knowing why. Their hearts do not participate - it is just a formality that has remained. Such people will only be the cause of the destruction of the idol, because although they worship every day, there is no transformation in their lives, and hence it seems futile to worship an idol or a statue.

An idol or statue is a method meant for total, inner transformation.

Without man having some dep awareness of the Divine, a temple could not be built. Even if that awareness is later lost, the temple still remains; and it is quite certain that it could not have been built without a deep experience of the Divine.

The temple is not the fanciful result of the imagination of some eccentric people,

its roots lie somewhere deep in the inner consciousness of man.

Though godliness is everywhere and human beings are also present everywhere, only during specific circumstances within us do we become attuned to that godliness. So temples served as centers of receptivity, to enable us to feel the divine in existence, to feel godliness, and to become spiritually elevated. The whole arrangement in temples was motivated with this in view.

Everything is predetermined in our lifeline. Our body, our mind and life span are already fixed in a groove.

Our one choice is whether to identify with our destiny or not. If we choose to surrender to the " will of God " all will proceed without resistance.

Divine Principle, has allotted to us that providence which will be of the greatest benefit for our release from the wheel of Karma.

Most of us labour in life like the bull in the treadmill, motivated by our greed for a few grass heaps of wealth and comforts. Thereby we only turn the wheel of nature and serve its purpose.

What counts in SADHANA is perseverance and steadfastness. After a time Meditation recalls itself spontaneously. Whether or not results of Meditation are obtained is of no importance. The essential is to arrive at stability. It is the most precious thing that one can gain. In any case one must trust with confidence in the Divinity and await HIS Grace without impatience.

We all look out and see in others what we think we want for ourselves.

Comparisons, by definition, are made from the outside, but if we could see

the world and life from behind the eyes of another it would become

immediately obvious that what we wish for is very rarely what it seems.

The fool is worshipped only in his house.
The rich man is respected in his own village.
The king is honoured only in his kingdom.
But the wise man is worshipped, respected, honoured in all places,
at all times, under all conditions.

A true devotee never comes to demand anything from the Lord except more and more Love for Him, and that this Love in his heart should ever remain steady and grow in its dimension. In short, desire departs from the heart in which Devotion has entered. The very essence of Devotion lies in the spirit of renunciation of all other infatuations and seekings.

Don't resist them ; that only creates sorrow.
Let reality be reality ; Let them flow naturally
forward in whatever way they like.

The Blessed Lord said :

Fix your mind upon Me; be devoted to Me;

Sacrifice for Me; bowdown to ME ; you shall come,

surely then, to Me alone;

truly do I promise to you, for you are dear to ME.

Are you growing spiritually? Can you love others ? Can you feel oneness with others ? Have you peace within yourself ? And do you radiate it around you ?

This is called Spiritual growth, which is stimulated by Meditation inwardly and by work done in a spirit of service outwardly.

he is going to the very source of bliss.
Eternity is Bliss, the very ocean of nectar, Immortal.

The right Meditation is when you contemplate your Self.
There should be no concepts or images while you are contemplating.
Brahman is without concepts.

With half knowledge we think we are full of wisdom, profound; that is our presumption. When we are without thoughts, then only are we profound. Realize the thought free state. D0n't worry about other people and other things. Do your own research, try to find out how you happen to be.
In the end, both whatever is understood and the one who understands are liquidated. Many people have understood and they have gone into quietude.

Without words, without the wordless, will you teach me TRUTH ?

The Buddha kept Silenece.

The philosopher bowed and thanked the Buddha , saying :

With your loving kindness I have cleared away my delusions and entered the true path.

We cling to the body and all the trouble starts. When you do not experience the body there are no desires or needs, but when you think you are the body you want to satisfy your desires, thinking that then you will have peace. There is no peace in the body identity.
